The client looked to expand their existing 1,300 sq. ft. property into a large 3,175 sq. ft. home. While we looked to maintain a portion of the exterior walls to have it maintain its classification as a “remodel” in the city’s perspective, the house was completely transformed from top to bottom. Focusing on maintaining an open concept and indoor/ outdoor relationship, we instilled sightlines throughout the house, allowing the residents to maintain a visual connection while being physically separated. The rear patio doors also fully slide into the wall to create a seamless transition between the interior and exterior. The space also utilizes multiple clerestory windows and double high spaces to allow for ample light throughout.
